Unclaimed mystery box - any help?

From: stacylg1 (evilmommy@comcast.net) | Date: 2006-11-28 02:36:54 UTC
This is a link to the Haunted Canal box.

I know about where is box is. (I don't want to say too much as it is a
mystery box) Went to look for it twice, but didn't find it. I was
wondering if anyone here has found and can help me out at all. I'm not
sure how bad this area flood at the end of June and the box might have
been washed away - if not removed before that.
Any info would be great.

Thanks
evilmommy

If you are local you can check. If it got flooded away, at least you
had a nice walk in an interesting area.

Let us know,

But unfortunately she said she checked twice and couldn't find it. Very
interesting clues tho. I can see so many possibilities that the placer
might have used to confuse the actual location of the box. The path to that
box might not be as straightforward as it first seems.

And does the "to be continued....." mean that it was going to be a series
eventually or could it mean the clues were originally posted as a teaser and
there are actually more clues that should have come for that particular box
and they never got posted? For example, we have one box in our area that
was listed on LbNA for probably a year or more, but the placer only listed
the box name, state, and closest city/town. If one clicked on the name of
the box, there were no real clues -- they must have dropped out of
letterboxing before they got that far. The clues just said something like
"Stay tuned....."

I really like the Haunted Canal clues. Is there any way of knowing the
trailname of the original placer or is that lost forever once the box
tumbled down the stairs into the basement?

Thanks for your input. "the to be continued" is why I'm asking if anyone found this box, in case it never was planted or whatever. The only email address I've found for the placer is no longer in use. This is just one of those things that I just want to solve the mystery, if the box is gone - no big deal, but if it is still here I would like to adopt if I can and let others look for it to.

thanks
